1. Who I am

Mrs Footsie is a financial education and mentoring practice founded and run by Aleksandra Krajewska, operating from the United Arab Emirates and serving clients internationally. In this policy, "I", "me" and "my" refer to Mrs Footsie. "You" refers to anyone who visits mrsfootsie.com, subscribes to my newsletters, books a session, or works with me as a mentoring client.

This policy explains what personal information I collect, why I collect it, how I look after it, and what choices you have. It applies to my website, my newsletters, my mentoring and workshop services, and any correspondence between us.

2. Information I collect

Information you give me directly. When you subscribe to a newsletter, book a session, complete an intake form, or contact me, you may provide your name, email address, telephone number, country of residence, professional background, and any other details you choose to share.

Information shared during mentoring. Mentoring conversations may involve detailed personal and financial circumstances: income, savings, investments, property, family situation, career plans, and your goals and concerns. You decide what you share with me. I do not ask for account numbers, passwords, or access to any of your financial accounts.

Booking and scheduling information. When you book a session, my scheduling tools record the date, time, time zone, and the email address you used to book.

Technical information. When you visit my website, standard technical data is collected automatically, including your approximate location, device type, browser, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site.

Payment information. Payments for sessions and workshops are processed by Stripe or made by bank transfer. Where Stripe is used, your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never seen or stored by me. I receive confirmation of payment, the amount, and the name and email address associated with the transaction. Where payment is made by bank transfer, I receive the payment reference and the name on the transfer.

3. How I use your information

I use your information to deliver and improve what I offer. In practice this means:

  • Providing mentoring, workshops and educational content, and preparing for our sessions.

  • Managing bookings, scheduling and reminders.

  • Responding to enquiries and correspondence.

  • Sending newsletters and updates where you have asked to receive them.

  • Administering payments and keeping proper business records.

  • Understanding, in aggregate, which content is useful so that I can create more of it.

I do not sell your personal information. I do not share your contact details with other businesses for their own marketing purposes.

4. Confidentiality of mentoring conversations

This section matters more to me than any other part of this policy, so I want to be precise about it.

Everything you share with me in a mentoring session, an intake form, or correspondence relating to your mentoring is treated as strictly confidential.

Specifically:

  • I do not discuss your situation, your finances, your decisions or your circumstances with anyone else, including other clients, your family members, or anyone in your professional network, unless you have asked me to do so. Where an assistant or service provider needs limited access in order to support the running of my practice, they are given only the minimum access required and are bound by the same duty of confidentiality.

  • I do not tell my clients about one another. If two people I work with know each other, are related, work for the same organisation, or belong to the same professional network, neither will learn from me that the other is a client. Where a client has publicly shared that we work together, or has given me a testimonial for publication, that is their own disclosure and this restriction no longer applies to that particular fact.

  • I do not share what you tell me with any third party, except in the limited circumstances described in section 6, or where I am required to do so by law.

  • If you and I have any prior or parallel relationship, for example through a professional network, this makes no difference to the above. Your mentoring remains separate and confidential.

  • Confidentiality continues after our work together ends.

5. Anonymised and composite examples

I write articles, newsletters and educational material, and I sometimes illustrate a point with an example drawn from real mentoring work. This is a normal and useful part of financial education, and I want to be transparent about exactly how I do it.

Where I use a client example, it is always anonymised. That means I remove or change every detail that could identify the person, including name, employer, job title, exact figures, precise location, and any distinctive circumstance. Frequently I combine elements from several clients into a single composite example, so that the situation described is realistic but does not correspond to any one individual.

I do not publish identifiable client stories, quotes or case studies without asking you first and receiving your agreement. Where you have given me a testimonial for my website, I use it only in the form and with the attribution you agreed.

If you would prefer that your circumstances are never used as the basis for an example, even in anonymised or composite form, simply tell me and I will note it. You do not need to give a reason.

6. Third parties who process information for me

Running a business online means using external tools. Each of these providers processes some of your information on my behalf, under their own privacy terms:

  • Wix hosts my website, manages bookings, and handles automated booking emails.

  • Stripe processes card payments. Your card details are provided directly to Stripe and are not accessible to me.

  • Mailchimp manages my newsletter mailing lists and sends my newsletters.

  • Google provides email, calendar, video meetings via Google Meet, document storage, and website analytics

I choose established providers and use them for defined purposes, but I do not control their systems and cannot be responsible for their practices. I would encourage you to read their privacy policies if you would like to understand how they operate.

Beyond these providers, I may disclose information where I am legally required to do so, for example in response to a valid legal or regulatory request, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

7. International transfers

I am based in the United Arab Emirates and work with clients across the Gulf, Europe and elsewhere. My service providers operate internationally, which means your information may be stored or processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and countries within the European Union. Different countries offer different levels of legal protection for personal data. By using my website and services, you understand that your information may be transferred and processed in this way.

8. How long I keep information

I keep information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and then for a reasonable period afterwards.

In practice: newsletter subscribers remain on the list until they unsubscribe. Mentoring records are kept for the duration of our work together and for a period afterwards, so that I can support you properly if you return, and so that I hold a record of the work should any question arise. Financial and payment records are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Website analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics provider.

If you would like your information removed sooner, please see section 9.

9. Your choices and your rights

You can ask me to do the following at any time:

  • Delete your information, subject to any records I am required to keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons. Stop sending you marketing communications.

  • Stop using your circumstances as the basis for anonymised examples.

To make any of these requests, email me at alexandra@mrsfootsie.com. I will respond within a reasonable period and will not charge you for doing so.

Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every newsletter, without contacting me.

I handle personal information in line with the data protection principles applicable in the United Arab Emirates

10. Cookies and website analytics

My website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are necessary for the site to function. Others help me understand how visitors use the site, which pages are read, and how people arrive. You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Some parts of the site may not work properly if you block all cookies.

11. Security

I take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the information I hold, including using reputable service providers, keeping accounts secured, and limiting access to client information to myself and to anyone assisting me under a duty of confidentiality.

No method of transmitting or storing information online can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and I cannot promise absolute security. If you have particularly sensitive information to share, please tell me and we can agree a suitable way to handle it.

12. Children

My services are intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of eighteen.

13. Nature of my services

Nothing I provide constitutes regulated financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or a personal recommendation to buy, sell or hold any investment or financial product. I do not manage money, hold client funds, or act as an intermediary for any financial institution. 14. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time, for example when I start using a new tool or offer a new service. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date of the most recent update shown at the top.
